Study Note 3 – The Complete Private Pilot

Here is what I learnt while I studying the book “The Complete Private Pilot”. Most note text are in English, and may not translate to Chinese any more.

It is a great book that everyone who is or want to become a private pilot should read it.

In this section, I learnt a lot of knowledge about Flight Instruments. It is more than Big-six, and yes, a number of basis that I don’t know them before.

In the book “The Complete Private Pilot”, the author dimishes a lot of details for some instruments, in my opinion, it is wise at this stage that ignore those detail which is unrelevent to the mainly point of what a private pilot should study. And further more, the auther also provide some of information about so called ‘glass cockpit’ devices, AHRS etc. Well I am not such depend on glass cockpit, but I think it would be the trends of the future, so If I want to be a pilot and fly in near future, I have to adopt it as soon as possible.

During learning flight instruments, I also refer some other documents such us FAA’s Pilot Hanbook of Aeronautical Knowledge and Jeppsen Private Pilot Textbook etc. Those books are very very important to learn the basis.  Especially FAA’s official documents, cause it is vital to passing FAA knowledge test.

All 12 pics of notes here, note that some of the graphics in this notes are come from the original book, so all pics are not authorised for re-posting, please don’t reposting any of these pics to any other website or even in your blog, unless you buy this book. And some of colored graphics is came from FAA’s Pilot Hanbook of Aeronautical Knowledge, you can find a free download from FAA’s website.
